Over the past 10 years, we have been the sole provider of portable power for Expeditions to the Arctic/Antarctic/Himalayas/Atlantic and Gobi desert amongst others. In 2018 Expedition ExIcemaiden used just a 10w & a 20W version of this package for the record-breaking 10 weeks, 1000Km crossing of the Antarctic at -40C.
Our CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide cells) lightweight panels have an ETFE coating for protection, whilst remaining very flexible. This expedition solar panel charger will fold to half the size of a magazine when not in use and is easily transportable. It has 6 attachment points for hanging on a boat, tent, tree or rucksack whilst charging a 5V USB power bank. The optional 15W & 20W are both dual USB 5V/2A.
The 2A peak power (same power as mains phone charging) USB solar regulator will automatically control the charging current to give a constant charge. This unit normally retails for £89.95.
For personal power, to keep your phones, GPS, and Tablet going whilst you are off-grid, we have included the MSC Aqua Trek IP68 waterproof, QC & Qi wireless charging power bank as the main power reserve. It also has an inbuilt camping light & torch.
The LG batteries hold a charge for months and have very little loss on DC transfer, giving the maximum number of charges for a given capacity. It is compatible with any quick charge (Qualcomm) phone, such as a Samsung Galaxy & Note. It has a single USB C Type, optional C Type to Apple or C Type to Android charging leads can be added at checkout.
To complete the package we have added the compact Aluminium PD18W 5Ah & a LED flexible light.
In common with all our portable batteries and solar chargers, although they might have been bought for a specific purpose, once you are used to having reserve power at hand, they will prove most useful in everyday life.

I have ordered several products including the 10 Watt CIGS panel and it is all of excellent quality. Especially the solar charger is light as a feather. I have been in contact with Tim and he has been able to help me with all my concerns and answer my questions knowledgeably. I would choose the products over others because they have been tried out extensively and because the shop is run by people who have a passion for it.
PS. When I read the good reviews I thought that this can't be true, but now I think it is.

We wanted to try out a solar power option on a recent trekking + mountaineering trip to Peru. At initial enquiry with Mobile Solar Chargers we received very prompt and very useful advice. All the kit supplied exceeded our expectations on every level - lightweight, robust, small pack size, efficient charging. Well worth their weight (and cost!). We will certainly be buying more from Mobile Solar Chargers in the future.

I have been doing serious expeditions for over 25 years and I have never been able to create a relationship with a company quite like Mobile Solar Chargers. Tim's attention to detail and your exact needs are always of the utmost importance. The equipment he provided me for a 2 month Solo trip in Antarctica was spot on, lightweight, robust and exceptionally efficient. I highly recommend this company and I will not use any other company going forward. Don't trust me though, get in touch, you will not be disappointed.

@mobilesolarchrg supplied a selection of lightweight, but very durable, solar panels and power bricks. Power is a key element of any modern expedition - safety and comms gear batteries drain fast in the cold and Tim's gear meant we always had a means by which to recharge.
